Abercromby Place

This is a recently developed top floor apartment in Edinburgh's New Town. The developer had refurbished the apartment to a very high standard, with a contemporary feel. Vanburgh interiors were briefed to style the rooms for photography and marketing. We used furniture, pictures, plants and accessories to make the property look welcoming and attractive to potential buyers.

Regent Terrace

An 1826 town house used as offices for the past 50 years. This was purchased by an overseas client who wished to restore it to a large family home. The client bought it without having seen it. Vanburgh Interiors briefed the architect and gave design direction. Plans were drawn up to divide the house, having a four bedroom town house above and a two bedroom flat in the basement. Contractors were engaged and the work took a year. Vanburgh Interiors supervised all stages of the building and restoration work and were responsible for all elements of design and decoration. The garden had not been tended for many years and this was given a radical overhaul.

When the building work was finished the house was furnished and equipped for the prestige rental market.

Ramsay Garden

This is a main door flat with a panaromic views over Prince's Street and the city to the North. It was decorated arts and crafts style. Vanburgh Interiors were briefed to install a new family bathroom in a contemporary style and to redecorate the other rooms in a less fussy style. Giving a cleaner, more contemporary and pared down look to the property, without compromising the wealth of original architectural features. The apartment was then furnished and equipped for the executive rental market.

West Mayfield - Family Bathroom

This bathroom featured a unique Victorian bidet. Vanburgh Interiors were briefed to remodel this bathroom with new sanitary ware, adding storage cupboards and new lighting for a busy family. The bidet was restored and re-plumbed, and the new sanitary ware and fittings reflected the period of the house without compromising comfort and function.

30 Heriot Row

A two bedroom first floor flat, in Edinburgh New Town. Which had been let for over 10 years. The property had been a victim of an unsympathetic conversion during the early 80’s and it's furnishings were tired and dated.

The brief was to re-model the interior and to modernize the property and restore some of the period features ‘lost’ in the earlier conversion. In close collaboration with the Architect, to obtain the necessary planning permissions and consents, plans were drawn up to maximize the interior space and integrate the necessary 21st century elements particularly new bathrooms and kitchens.

Re-decoration was undertaken in clear, but neutral colours, to enhance the space and light in the property. The soft furnishings, furniture and artworks have been carefully chosen and are a blend of classic styling with modern fabrics to create a comfortable yet contemporary apartment.

The property was fully supplied with china, glassware and all kitchen equipment for the executive rental market.
